Vidal linked with Manchester United, Ancelotti comments

Carlo Ancelotti has responded to speculation linking Arturo Vidal with a move to Manchester United. Don Carlo claims that the Bayern Munich star is not for sale.

Manchester United are reportedly keen to bring in another midfielder this summer, but the Red Devils have so far still not gained their target players. Eric Dier of Tottenham, Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic anchor and Roma’s Radja Nainggolan are all included in Jose Mourinho’s list of options.

Vidal recently broke into Manchester United’s radar if the Red Devils failed to bring Mourinho’s priority target. But Bayern manager Ancelotti insists he has no desire to sell the player from Chile in the transfer market this summer.

“For Vidal, it’s impossible. He’s our player and I really believe him. I know there are rumors and we are used to rumors, he will stay with us 100 percent, I’m sure of that, “said the Italian manager.

Vidal loves ambitious clubs

The 30-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United three years ago when Louis van Gaal replaced David Moyes at Old Trafford. But he refused to move to The Red Devils and joined Bayern Munich a year later. Even so he admitted that in 2016 he almost joined to Old Trafford.

“Yes, there’s a chance to come to England, last summer, and at some point, we think that’s what’s going to happen. I liked the opportunity they offered me, but eventually it did not happen and I chose to come to Bavaria. I want to come to a strong team and have a very ambitious project, “said the midfielder.

Manchester United in the transfer market this summer has been linked with many top European midfielders, such as Arturo Vidal, Eric Dier and Nemanja Matic. Matic is reportedly not interested in playing at Chelsea next season after the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko to Stamford Bridge, which automatically reduces his chances of playing as a starter in midfielder Antonio Conte’s team.
