Arsenal Legend Question Wenger’s Strategy and Policy

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown said Arsenal were in a crisis situation after a crushing defeat by Liverpool.

Arsenal lost 0-4 to Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday (27/08/2017) night.

Goals from Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Daniel Sturridge broke into the Arsenal goal.

Arsenal’s landslide defeat captured the attention of Martin Keown.

“Arsenal looks naive, Granit Xhaka does not work as well as midfielder Aaron Ramsey always leaves the area,” said Keown. Keown also commented on the strategy of Manager Arsene Wenger.

The former defender questioned Arsenal’s decision not to lose Alexandre Lacazette.

“Arsenal have not fired a shot on target against Liverpool, it’s unbelievable they’ve conceded eight goals,” said Keown.

The Gunners in 1984-1986 and 1993-2004 were referring to Arsenal’s status as the team with the second most conceded mark of the season after West Ham United (10 goals).

Keown rate crisis in this defense is influenced by Wenger’s decision.

“I do not understand Arsenal’s decision to sell Gabriel Paulista for nine million pounds and Shkodran Mustafi is on the bench, I’m not sure about that decision,” said the legend.
